He Is Clearly Unfit To Be Governor - APC Blasts Fayose

The party said Fayose had no democratic credentials and integrity to accuse Buhari of being a tyrant and a threat to the survival of democracy in the country, Vanguard reports.

Fayose had on Monday, January 11, described the president as a dictator because of the way he was handling the deputy governor-elect in Kogi state, James Faleke, the Senate president, Bukola Saraki, and the former national security adviser, Sambo Dasuki, among others.

He accused Buhari of abusing the rights of fellow Nigerians adding that the roles played by the DSS were clearly undemocratic.

In a statement the state publicity secretary of the APC, Taiwo Olatunbosun, said Fayose was a man suffering from the diarrhea of the mouth.

The statement read: “Governor Fayose, clearly unfit to be a governor, should be the least to complain about anti-democratic conduct because he is the greatest threat to democracy in Nigeria based on his serial breaking of the provisions of the Constitution of Nigeria.

“It is laughable that as shameless as Fayose is, he is now accusing the civil rights groups of keeping silent in the defence of the purported abuse of the rights of Nigerians by the President and we wonder what the governor’s legal backers said or did when he was serially breaking the laws of the nation in the last one year to the shock of Nigerians.

“Fayose invaded the court with thugs to beat up a judge and tear court records in the Chief Judge’s office and used seven lawmakers to illegally impeach a Speaker in the Assembly of 26 members.”

The party accused Fayose of using thugs to lay siege to the state assembly, preventing 19 APC members from attending House plenary sessions for six months.

The governor was also accused of using seven members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to illegally pass the budget and confirm his commissioner-nominees.

Governor Fayose is a very outspoken politician who never gets tired of attacking the Buhari-led administration and the APC.

He recently challenged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to act on petitions submitted to it against chieftains of the ruling APC and President Buhari’s election sponsors
