Celine Dion's husband, Rene Angelil, has died after battling cancer, a publicist confirmed to ABC News on Thursday. He was 73 years old.


Angelil died Thursday morning at his home in Las Vegas.

He has been married to the famed singer since 1994, and had been battling cancer for some time.

Angelil guided Dion's career as her manager and mentor, and they had three children together.
