The former chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tony Anenih, recently survived an open heart surgery in a hospital in the United Kingdom.

Although the name of the hospital still remains unknown, a family member who spoke to an online news platform revealed that the surgery was necessitated by the irregular heartbeat condition of the 82-year-old.
“The ambulance arrived within five minutes and he was taken out on a stretcher, with paramedics giving him oxygen support. It was at the hospital that it was discovered that he had some heart issues which he had not experienced before,”
