Buhari Reacts To The Confirmation Of His Ministers

President Muhammadu Buhari has said he remained resolute in the war against corruption and would want to be remembered for that.
Nigerian leader was speaking after the India-Africa Summit, which concluded in New Delhi.

He asked Nigerians not to be afraid of the fight against corruption if they are not corruptly enriching themselves and that they should inspire him to get whoever had compromised his position and the trust given to him.
President Buhari whose administration has security, economy and the fight against corruption major focus and is often bashed for been slow repeated: “They call me baba go slow, but I will go slow and steady”.
However, he added that he won’t lose sleep because of criticism.
Speaking about the racism issue Nigerian leader noted that it is the state of mind of people, personalities which a nation state cannot absolutely regulate.
“So I don’t think people should be preoccupied if somebody says ‘get away you black man’ or whatever,” he added.
When the president was absent in the country the Senate had been polarized following his choice of ministers.
The PDP and the APC senators were sharply divided over one of Buhari’s ministerial appointees, Rotimi Amaechi.
On the confirmation of ministerial nominees, Buhari said he would cut down the number of ministries so as to be able to pay salaries.
While speaking about the deadline in crushing the insurgents the president said that the target was to get rid of the Boko Haram and not about meeting deadline.
On its part, India said it had set aside over $10 billion grant for African countries.

President Buhari praised the investors and assured Indians and the international community of his government’s commitment to sustaining efforts aimed at making Nigeria an envy of all.
The Nigerian Senate has concluded the screening of ministerial nominees sent to it by President Buhari yesterday on October 28. The presidential source has disclosed that the inauguration of ministers-designate will take place on Wednesday.
Nigerian president is expected back today after the four-day working visit to India.
