Election materials distributed, over 700 police officers deployed

All election materials have been distributed and over 7000 security operatives have been deployed to all polling units across Taraba state.

Police Public Relations Officer, Taraba, Joseph Kwage, disclosed this to Premium Times in Jalingo .

The police said its officers are ready to protect lives and properties at every polling units in the state. 

He added that all the materials - sensitive and non-sensitive - hav gotten to their destinations within the state.

He assured the people of the state the police will ensure that the election is violent free

"As I speak to you now we have not received any reported incident of wrong doing," Mr. Kwage said.

Confirming the position of materials getting to its destinations, the INEC Public Relation Officer, Fibian Vwanhi, said all the materials have reached their destinations and officials are fully ready for the elections.
