Dear Mr. Fasola,
Yoruba will say Orisa bo le gbe mi, semi bo se bami. I won't bother to translate the adage, you should be able to decode the meaning
I think you should unbundle your Ministry yourself, even if Baba Buhari doesn't see the need to remove some ministries from your supervision.
The Nation Newspaper has alleged that you are an actualizer, meaning that you can only work with blueprint, your achievement in Lagos State was attributed to plan which was properly drawn out by your predecessor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and I doubt power sector has such a blueprint in place to help you.
My advice is that you send an email to VP or have heart-to-heart talk with him while Baba is away. I know you both are padi, he would understand and appreciate your sincerity.
Power and Housing are the two sectors you should let go, sir. I know you can do very well in works, it doesn't need blueprint as such. The bad roads are glaring and you don't need rocket science to construct or upgrade them. I can vouch for your supervisory ability. You paid a lot of unscheduled visits to sites and hospitals when you were the governor of Lagos state, so I know you would do well in works.
We are getting tired of having to throw away refrigerated foods in this recession. Last week, I had to trash the vegetable I cooked with orisirisi and it really pained me.
The power issue also affected water, sir. We can't pump water with "I beta pass my neighbour", so we've been buying water from mallams at outrageous rate which is eating deep into our lean budget.
Please, sir, do the needful, and God will bless you. We've observed your performance and discovered you are not the power sector messiah, though I don't know who should take up the mantle, but definitely not you.
If you're being deceived, baba Fash, please, don't deceive yourself. That super minister thing is out to demystify you.
Highest regards,
