Identity Of Rescued Girls And Women From Sambisa Forest Confirmed

A military source who debriefed the rescued women, and provided them medical care, told SaharaReporters that the survivors are from Gumsuri Village and were kidnapped in December.

SaharaReporters can authoritatively confirm that the girls and women rescued from the Sambisa Forest during a military operation on Tuesday are not from Chibok.
A military source who debriefed the rescued women, and provided them medical care, told SaharaReporters that the survivors are from Gumsuri Village and were kidnapped in December.
“The women and ladies are from Gumsuri Village of Damboa Local Government Area last year.”
Damboa Village is located in the southern end of Borno State and is in very close proximity to the Chibok LGA.
