“Over You” singer Miranda Lambert is over her ex-husband, Blake Shelton. “She has started going on a few dates,” a friend says of Lambert, who split from Shelton in July after four years of marriage. “She’s really enjoying it.”
But while Shelton, 39, and his new girlfriend, fellow Voice coach Gwen Stefani, 46, flaunt their romance in front of the cameras — Stefani gushed “I love you” to Shelton on Entertainment Tonight Nov. 23 — Lambert, 32, is opting to play the field privately. Still smarting from having her marriage under a microscope, she’s keeping mum about the details — including the suitors' names. “Miranda has been on a couple of dinner dates and gone out for drinks,” teases the source. “They were just guys she met around.”
Indeed, Lambert has been hitting the Nashville social scene hard since making Music City her permanent home following her split. An insider says she’s a regular at adjacent neighborhood bars Winners and Losers. “She hangs around there a ton, drinking and partying,” say the insider. Often joined by longtime palApril Lewis, 32, and Pistol Annies bandmate Ashley Monroe, 29, the two-time Grammy winner “dances and flirts,” says the friend. “Miranda’s enjoying reconnecting with her girlfriends.”
The star painted a less upbeat picture of her post-divorce existence inCosmopolitan’s January issue. "I just want to live a life full of everything. Some of that might mean nights on my porch crying, drinking whiskey, and going, 'Man this sucks right now.' I don't necessarily want to know that I have really bad, long, lonely nights ahead of me, but I have had some, and I still have a bunch ahead of me,” she said.
Lambert and Shelton, who dated for six years before tying the knot in 2011, announced their divorce in a joint statement to the Associated Press July 20: "This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately."
