NAN reports that she was abducted on Sunday, December 20, in Otuoke, the hometown of the former president Goodluck Jonathan.

The nephew to the commissioner, who gave his name as Patrick Oba, told newsmen that Otazi, was abducted at Ewoi community in Ogbia local government area of the state on her way to a funeral ceremony.

It was gathered that the abductors sneaked her away from the company of two other women. She had previously served as commissioner for women’s affairs and the acting chairman of Ogbia council.

Another family member of the commissioner, identified as Endurance Frank, said the family had already reported the abduction at the police station. He prayed that she should be released unhurt.

Meanwhile, the commissioner’s abduction came after Nancy Dickson, the younger sister to the state governor, Seriake Dickson, was also kidnapped last week

Reportedly the governor’s younger sister was whisked away from her shop on Okaka road in Yenagoa, the state capital.

Governor Dickson’s younger sister’s kidnapping was treated with political undertone as the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Sylva-Igiri campaign organisation described an accusation allegedly made by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state as the most stupid statement ever issued by anybody.

In a related development Prince Eke was abducted on Owerri-Port Harcourt road as he was returning from a movie location in Delta state on Saturday, December 5. His abductors, on Thursday, December 9, demanded for N15 million ransom or he will be buried alive.
