The Commissioner of Police in Ogun State, Valentine Ntomchukwu, has visited police formations in the Ijebu area, where he held a closed-door meeting with the Bankers Forum, Ijebu Ode branch, and members of the Police Community Relations Committee in Igbeba, Ijebu Ode, on Thursday.
Ntomchukwu met with the stakeholders on security issues in Ijebu, particularly the closure of banks since January, a development that has reportedly subjected the residents to untold hardship, and assured them of adequate security for the re-opening of the banks.
The CP presented a new Armoured Personnel Carrier donated to the command by the state Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, and two new Nissan Hilux vans, donated by the Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba.
The police boss however charged the residents to support the police, particularly in the area of information sharing and logistics among others for the police to discharge their duties without hitch.
Ntomchukwu was accompanied to Ijebu Area Command by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, Akpoebi Egbuson; DCP Investigations, Shina Olukolu; Assistant Commissioner of Police, Training and Development, Jude Azuka; ACP, Administration, Frank Idu, and other heads of department in the state police command
