The Nigerian police have been instructed by the Jonathan administration to “screen” the civilian vigilante groups (known as Civilian JTF) hours after brave civilians recaptured Mubi, Adamawa state.
Rather than obtain support from the government, it looks like the brave vigilantes who are being internationally celebrated for their successful action in the recapture of occupied territories where Nigerians were suffering under Boko Haram rule (a feat the Nigerian army could not) are to be persecuted?
The Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, told all officials of police to oversee the activities of the vigilante groups and deliver regular reports on them.
